Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering can be a rewarding way to give back to the community! The Amani Center offers muti-leveled volunteer opportunities. This includes opportunities from one time event volunteering to volunteering in an ongoing capacity. Within the Amani Center there are many client and non-client volunteer opportunities.

Special Events Volunteer Description

Duties of the Special Events (Fundraising) Volunteer may include the following:

Clerical Assistant (Non-Client Services)

Duties of the non-client service Clerical Assistant may include the following: Volunteer non-client Clerical Assistants will provide a wide range of assistance to the Amani Center staff. This position will not have any contact with client related information. Examples of this position are photocopying, assistance with donor system, fundraising and capacity building projects.

Clerical Assistant (Direct Service)

This position will have direct contact with client information and may answer phones and greeting center guests at the Assessment Center. Additional services may include statistical data collection and assisting child abuse assessment team members with projects.

Medical Records Assistant

In addition to filing forms and documentation you may be asked to answer phones after training. You will work with other staff persons to maintain medical records and documentation in a secure and confidential manner.

Family Support Services (FSSS)

This position will have direct contact with children who may have been victims of abuse, and their non-offending caregivers. The FSSS provides victims and families with support, information, and referrals to community agencies.
